The Youth Advisory Council’s mission is to engage in purposeful dialogue to address and educate other youth in the prevention of teen violence that affects our lives.

Vision

To arrive at respectful and healthy relationships that contribute to the overall wellness and enjoyment of life as a young person.

Youth Advisory Council Will...
- Participate in monthly meetings (virtual for the time being)
- Engage with each other to address community issues
- Expose participants to the nonprofit world
- Gain an understanding of the role our community leaders play
- Gain an understanding of the court system in domestic violence
- Gain an understanding of law enforcement in domestic violence

- Meetings during the School Year held one Saturday a month & Summer Meetings vary
- Weekly updates will be sent out to all members with upcoming meeting dates and opportunities for participation in various YAC related activities

FVPS has been actively combating domestic violence in San Antonio for 46 years, and in 2021 formed the The Youth Advisory Council (YAC). We are excited to work with high school students, the next generation in our community.
